I am a full time mother of three children and step-mom of 3, my oldest 3 have gotten their own apartments and moved to dorms for college, which opened up rooms for me to set up a nursery and play room. I have three children living with me now, my three school-aged step children, and I have one of my 3 grandchildren visit overnight frequently, and I have been taking care of children as a way to have an income while staying home to raise my own children. I have been blessed to have as many children in my life as I do, and am one of those people who just has that "baby touch" and is very patient with children. I also currently do have one weekly client that requires me to go to their house on Friday mornings from 4am-7am, however it is not permanent (mom is in the hospital and dad has to leave for work for early meetings that day.) Now that my older children have left the nest, I have more room for new additions to my home. I have a very flexible schedule that can meet most anyone's childcare needs. I have had children in my care from newborns and school-aged children to teens. During the summer I can watch your child all day and then transition into after-school care once school starts again. I can include meals in my rates or you may bring food of your own for your child, whichever is more convenient for the parents. I have my child abuse history clearances and background check, and can provide references from other parents. My rates are reasonable and flexible depending on the circumstances of each individual family. I do have pets (a lazy dog and a snow leopard lizard thing that my 13 year old step son has had for almost 3 years and is as tiny as a gecko), no cats or other animals running around, just my lazy Stormy who is great with kids and loves all the attention she can get! She is an inside/outside dog so I can tie her up out in our back yard until your little one gets used to her, but she is very gentle and just loves to be pet. Although I do take children of all ages, I specialize in infant care, have extra training in infant care and do volunteer work in the pediatric emergency room at Children's Hospital of UPMC in Lawrenceville. I am looking to fill a few spots with children of any age and have a bus stop that services Center Township Elementary and the Middle/High Schools. I hope to hear from you soon!!
