My name is Nawal Ahmed and my biggest passion in life is children. It's the sole reason why I have decided to mold my future around helping children as I plan on becoming a pediatric neurosurgeon - there is nothing greater in the world than helping precious little children. So I can't help children as a doctor right now, but I sure can be a caregiver. You see, caring for your child isn't going to be a job for me; it'll be an utmost honor and pleasure. I grew up in a very big family with lots of uncles and aunties who seemed to pop out children every few months or so! Being the oldest among all my cousins and extended family has meant that I have watched and played a massive part in the little babies around me growing up. I have always stepped up to take responsibility for caring and supervising and I will continue to do so without a moment's hesitation. Nothing makes me happier than being around children and playing with them, helping them, supporting them and just being there for them - I have been privileged enough to be surrounded by children. I understand that every child is different and special in their own way and I also understand that all children have different needs that need to be met in different ways. In my free time, I have volunteered at St David's Medical Center in the nursery and also at Special Olympics where I work closely with special needs children. I have taken a class with special needs children for two years and am comfortable working with them too. It's lovely. I would love, in any way at all, to be a part of a child's life, even if it's as a mere babysitter.
