Hello! My name is Nicole Merriman. I'm a 21 year old college student, I major in elementary education. I have taken classes such as psychology, child development, health and wellness, and of course general education courses, which I have a completed certificate for. I worked at a daycare for two years at First Baptist Church in Greenfield, Indiana until the church was sold, forcing the daycare to close. I also tutor math and science courses, I have also conducted art activities for children at local events. Throughout my educational career I have done activities such as student council, soccer, athletic training, cheer-leading, art club, book club, and students against destructive decisions. I work wonderfully with scheduling and set rules, I am wonderful at organization, I also do well with taking care of animals, I can clean up, making homework time for the children fun and productive (giving the child help, but allowing the child/student to know they are smart enough to do the task on their own), creating exciting activities, I can cook for the children, I have worked with children who have hearing problems (currently taking sign language), I have also worked with feeding tubes on premature children and I have flexible scheduling. I have been around many children, on the count of I grew up with nine brothers and three sisters. I am very approachable, kind, and caring. I look forward to meeting your children and building an excellent relationship with your wonderful families. I am better contacted through email, I do have class on Wednesday from 2-5 (this will change in the spring, of course) I like to use my Sunday's for homework, but I'm willing to move that to an earlier date if needed on Sunday.
