Hi there! I am looking for a full-time position with a great family who needs a babysitter/nanny who adores kids. I am a senior in college and am just wrapping up my last semester of classes. My major is exercise physiology, which involves a lot of coursework in exercise and nutrition. I have so many interests that I'm sure I'll be able to fit in with just about any family! I love cooking and baking, swimming, reading (especially to kids), riding horses, travelling, card games, movies, watching sports, and hiking, to name a few. I also love to play the piano, something I've done my whole life (I taught myself when I was 9 years old). I also love to learn new things, so if you have a hobby to share, I would love to be a part of it! You'll find that I am a hard worker and can catch on to things very quickly. I'm the fifth of nine children, and my big family taught me to absolutely love kids. I grew up knowing all the ins and outs of childcare and have been changing diapers since I was 6 years old. I began babysitting my siblings when I was 11, and began babysitting for other families (and charging for my services) when I was 12. I have experience caring for twins, I have provided care for special needs children and teens up to age 16 in both in-home and daycare environments, and I have worked overnights. I have also cared for just about any domesticated animal you can think of--dogs, horses, birds, lizards--you name it! I've spent hours caring for my nieces, nephews, and countless younger cousins. Some of my favorite things to do with younger kids include coloring, reading books, going outside, having dance parties, playing made-up games, and helping them learn; but I also love pre-teens/teens. I think it's such a fun age and I love getting to know these kids and being their friend. I am willing to help with just about anything around the house! Coming from a big family, I know what it's like to have a lot that needs doing. Whether it's homework, housecleaning, meal prep, pet care, or driving the kids around, I'm happy to help. I prefer non-smoking homes, and I prefer not to work on Sundays. My rates start at $15/hour. **I just applied to study in Jerusalem for four months, which program runs January-April 2019. If I'm accepted to the program, I'll be unavailable during that time.
