Hi! My name is Heather Lollar and I have been involved in the care of children for as long as I remember. I’m the oldest of two children. My little sister is almost 6 years younger than me so I often helped with her care, even as a young child. In high school and college I worked as a nanny for a local family. After graduating from college, I was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine. Four difficult years later, I graduated with my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. God has given me some crazy twists and turns in my life over the past couple years (see below). And I now find myself searching for employment outside the field of my degrees in animal medicine. Bottom line: I adore children and would love to find steady employment as a caretaker for infants and/or children. I have a great deal of experience, including raising my own son, now 7 years old. My husband and I adopted our son at 3 weeks old and we have enjoyed every moment of parenting our sweet boy. Please consider me to care for your children too. Other history/info: I’ve practiced as a small animal veterinarian for 11 years in Blount county; I even owned my own practice from 2013-201.... I sold my practice in January 2018 due to a complicated, emotional and medical situation. I’m searching for work outside my field of veterinary medicine due to the restrictions of my employment agreement at my old veterinary clinic. I will gladly explain this situation further to a prospective employer.
