Sitter in St. Catharines, Ontario

Hello! My name’s Katie, and I’m looking for a full-time nanny job. I’m 25 and live in St. Catharines. I absolutely love being around kids and taking care of them, and it’s something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. Here’s my experience with kids: I did my high school co-op at the Brock University Daycare, where I worked with 4 and 5 year olds doing crafts and puzzles, playing inside with toys, and playing outside on the playground. For a little over a year, I was a nanny to two girls, ages 21 months and 4 months. I had to change diapers, feed them, put them down for their nap, play with them, and make sure they’re taken good care of. I was also involved in my Church nursery for almost 8 years. I used to be a helper, but for the past few years, I was a supervisor. In nursery, we’d always do fun things like puzzles, or read books. We also gave the kids some snacks, and if needed, changed their diapers. I’ve done some occasional babysitting as well. One family I babysat had 2 year old twin boys and a 3 month old girl. Another family had a 5 year old boy, a 2 year old girl, and a 6 month old girl. For both families I was required to feed them, change diapers, play with them, and make sure they stayed happy. From September 2013 until July 2014, I was a full-time nanny for a family with two young girls, a 3 year old and a 1 year old. My duties included making breakfast, lunch, and snacks, putting the younger one down for her nap, playing inside with puzzles, books, and toys, doing crafts and things like playdoh, and playing outside, either in their yard or at the park. I’ve also done some evening sitting for them, too, where I’d feed the girls dinner, play with them, and put them to bed. Since Sept. 2015 I’ve been a nanny for a family with 3 kids, a 7 year old boy, a 4 year old boy, and a 2 year old girl. Again, we’d do a lot of the same stuff I mentioned above. Apart from that, I’d also vacuum once a week and do the kids laundry twice a week, or as much as needed. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
