As a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in Psychology, I have taken several research-based courses with regard to the behavioral and mental health of children and their families. I am confident that my experience, skills, and strong interests make me an excellent candidate for this position. My responsibilities as a behavior therapist for different ABA companies over the past 5 years, specifically Steps Therapy, Trumpet Behavioral Health, and May Institute allowed me to receive ABA & RBT training and implement a variety of skills acquisition programs and behavior reduction plans. I have worked with children ranging from ages 2 to 15, in school, home, and center/community environments. I am comfortable and trained at handling a wide range of challenging behaviors, including aggression. Outside of my professional work, I have 2 or more years of experience working as a caretaker/nanny for families with special needs children. My duties have included, feeding, dressing, administering medications, and assisting in every day activities. In addition to my academic and work experiences, I also possess a tremendous amount of patience, loyalty, and respect for others.
