My name is Jaclyn Welsh and I am a 22 year pre-law student at Rutgers University with over 10 years of experience. My babysitting experience began when my now 9 1/2 year old cousin Max was born. Whenever the adults were busy or had to go out, I cared for him. Over the years I continued to sit for him, allowing me to gain experience with various age groups (infant, toddler, and now elementary school age). From 2005 to 2008, I gained over 45 hours of community service at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital's Cancer Institute, where I would supervise, entertain, and play with children while their ill parent was receiving chemotherapy. From 2013 to 2014, I continued my volunteer work at Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Hospital where I would visit and play with extremely ill patients ranging in age from newborns to teens. From my volunteer work, I gained a lot of patience with children and learned how to deal with sudden, unexpected situations if they were to arise.I also tutor K-12 in all subjects including Spanish ( I have been speaking Spanish for almost 8 years) and graduated high school in the top ten of my class. When I babysit, I love to provide homework help, go to the park, play with dolls/action figures, read to or with the children, cook and bake yummy yet healthy foods, and watching age-appropriate movies. Children are my world, and I would treat your children as if they were my very own. My biggest dream above all is to become a mother myself someday.
