Hello, I am an experienced respite/disability service worker looking for casual/part-time employment either as a "regular" baby sitter or as a respite worker with children who have special needs. My educational background is in Disability & Community Support. I was also a Mom to a 14 year old boy who had Cerebral Palsy/Global developmental delay/and severe medical challenges. After his passing in 2017, I am looking to get back in to the workforce using my skills. I would be able to provide out of home respite if needed as we are still set up with a track system, electric hospital bed and a wheelchair accessible home (we are a non-smoking, dog/cat/hamster friendly home). I do not have current first aid as finances are preventing me from re-certifying. But I could obtain it shortly after employment.
