My name is Sarah and I am a 31 year old mother of two boys age 7 and 5 months. I love being around children. ..my kids are my world and I take care to make all of the other children feel the same. I am known by all of the other families in the area as the lady with all the patience and who has all the kids at my house to play. I try to have a structured day starting with breakfast and then a story , toy time or puppet shows and then nap. When nap time is finished we have a lovely nutritional lunch and play outside in my huge grassy backyard. I ensure that all games and activities are age appropriate and fair for everyone. We will learn numbers, letter, colours and shapes. For those that are ready to start reading I will practice and encourage them at their own pace..... 7 year old started to learn to read at age 2 and he is in grade two now reading at a level 30. I encourage kids to be themselves, to know their own likes and dislikes and to be in charge of their personal space. I have always taught my son that just because someone asks for a hug doesn't mean you have to give one...no matter who is asking. I think that this teaches our kids to respect their bodies and their feelings and it helps them to grow up to be leaders not followers. My first born was born with a congenital heart defect that he had open heart surgery for....in saying that, I want you to know that I am absolutely on the ball with knowing if there is something wrong with a child....or if your child has a health issue I am fully capable of caring for them. I have family's in the neighborhood as well as the staff at rl hyslop school where my son attends and my sons doctors surgeons and cardiologists in Toronto at sick kids hospital as references. I know how important it is to know that your child is safe and will be cared for with 100% attention and cared for just as you care for them at home. I don't just want to babysit the kids I want to help mould them into the best people they can be. I look forward to watching them learn and grow and seeing them when they get older and having them remember me and all the good memories they made with my family. I will only have 6 children at a time one of those being my own.
