Description About me: Hello! My name is Kendra Soholt, Im 23 years old. My Fiancee Evan and I have two beauitful children, our oldest is a 3 year old energetic little boy and our youngest is a 10 month old little princess. We just bought a new house last year in Isanti. We have a dog named Baylee and a little tabby cat named Gary... yes.. Gary...We allowed our little boy to name him! My husband works sun up to sun down, so usually hes not around but if he is, every kid he has ever met instantly love him. He is GREAT with kids and LOVES to play along with them. Some things the kiddos and I like to do during the days while we are home are arts and crafts, go on outings to parks/lakes/walks on trails etc, do learning actives, have holiday partys, play games, role play and use our imagination, do fun age appropriate experiments, bake ( help make cookies/decorate them), have nap time/quiet time and just have fun & be let them be kids. In my home we try to watch tv or movies very little (allow them to play, have as much fun as they can and not be glued to the tv, phone, ipad, etc) other then morning time when its drop off time, before breakfast and quiet time OR if we are having a movie/jammie special day. I like to follow schedules, so if your child has a schedule they follow daily i will make sure it gets done how you would do it, Both of my kids follow a schedule, it gives any child more structure and stability. I'm interviewing for a nanny, babysitter, or any type of care placement in or around Isanti, Minnesota. I have many years of experience (5 ). Consistently, I work to be a role model to all kiddos, encourage them to be the best they can be, never judge/hate or treat any kids differently, and be a positive person to everyone around, adults and children. I PREFER TO DO CARE AT MY HOME, BUT AM WILLING TO WORK WITH WANT THE PARENTS WANT AND NEED. I am open to all options. If your child/children come to my home I provide all meals, snacks, etc. Only things i ask for you to bring is formula if you have an infant, diapers if not potty trained, and their favorite blanket/stuffed animal to snuggle with at nap time/quiet time of the child is still taking naps. I will make weekly or monthly meal plans and daily plans. I like to stay very connected and have good communications with parents or guardians. I try not to have lots of rules or be strict but do have some. Here are my following rules that apply to all children 1 year and up.1 I am a stay at home mom, so I can be available right away or when needed. 1. Having good manners is important to me so saying please, thank you, excuse me, no thank you, etc. 2. Wash & dry hands before meals/snack and after using the restroom. 3. Respect ALL people around, never EVER judge one another or talk about others meanly. "Treat others the way you want to be treated" 4. Remember to use your listening ears, have nice hands, and indoor voices while inside--ABSOLUTELY/NO TOLERANCE for intentional hitting, kicking, throwing toys that arent meant to be thrown, bullying, or fighting... Punishment/time outs can be determined by childs parent, 4. Have fun, be your person, be adventurous/creative, use your imagination and ALWAYS remember how special you are to others! *I am NOT a licensed day care home center in MN* If childcare if provided at my home : I am will to tak no more then 7 child at once, 3 infants at most in the same day.. Also depending on needs for child with any special needs or that is disabled, im willing and comfortable with have 2 at time in the same day. Description of Skills: I am willing take care of date night supervising, homework help, and travel support, pet care (Pets are always welcomed to come play and spend the day with us), transportation to and from schools, sports or any actitivies they may do, etc. (If care is done at your home, i do help with cleaning, laundry, errand runs, ect.) I would like to be full time for long term/short term, but am williing to do whatever your family needs. I am open to: Full time Part time Long or short term Weekends Half days Drop ins Sick days Early mornings Late Nights Due to my experience i take all aged 0-13 yr old. I have done in home at my house, went to others house, worked in a In-home liscened center, and babysat often. I am MORE willing to take children with mental/physical disabilities and/or special needs children (Handicap, autism, down syndrome, etc.) My oldest son is "low- spectrum" autistic, so therefor i know how to handle most if not all situations, how to communicate appropriately communicate/calm them down if upset. I have a place in my heart for kids with disabilities. My Fiancee and i hope to adopt a speial needs child after we get married. They bring the world so much joy, along with every other child. Reminders: I are willing to travel. I have experience as a caregiver. I am CPR/First aid and CNA/TMA certified, willing to provide proof youd like. All ages welcomed up to 13, unless discussed otherwise between parent and I. Since childcare is crazy expensive these days im more then willing to work with families on a price they can afford, I hate seeing others with little ones struggle. I ask that drop off be no earlier then 4 am and pick up time be no later then 8 pm (for those families who are just daytime/weekly care), any other times can be dicussed.
