Ever since I was a little girl I have been seeking out opportunities to babysit and work with children. My experience started with being the neighborhood babysitter many nights per week all throughout high school. I then started doing summer nannying and then took a year off before college to nanny full time. I have experience with all ages from infants to teens and can provide strong references upon request. I am studying psychology and child development with the intent of working in education reform so I see nannying as a great way to gain hands-on experience for my future career. I have on more year left in my degree so I am looking for a summer position. I have a minor in art and I am very creative and artistic and sharing these activities and interests with children is something I really enjoy. Other things I am passionate about are dancing, anything relating to the outdoors, reading, and music. Because of my background working in many different environments I am a very adaptable person. As a nanny I really make an effort to understand your family's personal values and family culture and do my best to adapt to that. Every family I have worked for has expressed in some way or another the importance of knowing that the things they believe are important for their children continue to be encouraged even when they can't be there. As far as work ethic goes I am very dedicated, punctual, and consistent. With previous families I have helped them come up with family schedules to keep some structure in their kids lives. I have a very positive, upbeat attitude and am always willing to be silly and fun with the kids I care for. I look forward to meeting your family!
