I am a student pursuing licensure through the Transition to Teach - Early Childhood Education Program at Indiana Wesleyan University. I have three children who I am currently homeschooling and have worked with children of various ages in several capacities. These include preschool and daycare teaching positions, substitute teaching in both traditional and self-contained classrooms, and volunteering in church-related groups. While my undergraduate degree was in Sociology, I have completed many courses in education over the years. All of my teaching positions have been working with students from birth to preschool. At this time I am working toward completion of the licensure program in order to expand my credentials to include Pre-kindergarten – 3rd grade. My passion for teaching comes from my desire to meet the whole needs of children as students as well as individuals. I wish for every child to reach their fullest potential and I look forward to being a part of their growth and learning process. I have a heart for struggling students and hope to bring new ideas to help every student develop a deep love for learning and a true desire to succeed.
