Hi! My name is Katie Cyr and I have over ten years of professional experience working with children. I am dedicated to my career, and feel blessed to have a job that is so rewarding on am mental and emotional level. I have worked with children of various age groups (infants through 13 years of age). I have also worked with children of various socioeconomic backgrounds. I have one on one, and inclusion classroom experience working with children who have specific special developmental needs. I have been very successful in managing large classrooms, as well as working with smaller groups. I am organized, punctual, and believe in keeping a routine to help foster a sense of security in children. I am an advocate of finding a way to teach all children in a way that they will succeed individually and as a group. I provide activities that cover all areas of development, and allow children to grow on emotional, physical and cognitive levels. I believe providing experiences at places like the library, musems, parks, zoos, aquariums are important. That being said, I like to provide children with as many opportunities I can to explore, learn and grow in a safe and caring environment.
