I am married (since 2000). My husband and I have two children--Anna, age 14, and Miles, age 11, and have resided in the Chattanooga area since January 2006. I am a musician--I play the organ, piano, and harpsichord, and have advanced degrees in my field, including the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Iowa (2002). I have over twenty years experience in teaching piano, organ, and vocal groups. I have lived and attended school in cities such as Boston, Massachusetts; Bremen, Germany; and Iowa City, Iowa. I excel in the academic subjects of English, Composition, Reading Comprehension, and foreign language (German, Spanish). Over the past 11 years, I have served as director of music and organist for several churches in the Chattanooga area. I recently resigned a position of 9 years in order that I might be more available to my children; in that process, I have found that I have extra time and space in my home for another child (or two) whom I might care for and assist with homework, teach piano (if there is interest), and transport, if necessary.
