I was born in Worcester, MA in 1995 (I am 18 now.) I lived there for a few years until I moved to Grafton, MA. After that, I moved to Northbridge, MA in 2006. I was a volunteer at a private dog shelter for about a year. I was given an awesome opportunity at age 11 when a family friend asked me to help with her newborn. It turned into an everyday thing and I gained a lot of experience and I loved it. Since then, I've wanted to do this for the rest of my life! I've also been a part of a football team and a softball team in 2010. In 2006, I was introduced to Destination Imagination and it's a creative outlet for children do theater, art, and more. We did a play about Chinese history and got 2nd place. I've been a nanny for so many families since then and all of the children loved me! I love to paint and write. I think I'm a very creative person and I can always come up with new ideas for difficult situations. I'm a calm, well mannered person and it's always seemed like I can calm children down easily. I'm currently the nanny of 3 children, ages 11, and 8 year old twins (one with Autism.) Some days I have better luck calming him down then his siblings! I think I stand out more than other nannies is because I really love my work and how involved I get. I do whatever it takes to keep the kids interested and happy! And it makes me smile knowing that these children like me and want to see me everyday. I believe my greatest strength is my ability to connect with people. I adore children and I find it easy to open up to people, and to have people open up to me. My strengths and weaknesses in relation to this position are: I'm a strong person. I've dealt with a lot of negativity and bad luck in my life but I've come so far and I always try to keep positive. I want so much for everyone to be happy and I try and make sure the people I care about, even strangers get a smile on their face. I've accomplished so much. I was enrolled into an online high school in 2011 and my mother stopped paying for it so I couldn't go to school for a couple years. I felt like a bum and so stupid. I also had no job for a long time and I remember the day I got my current job. Oh my goodness, I was so ecstatic! I've never been so happy and I work extra hard there because I appreciate and love this family so much. My weakness is definitely how attached I get. I get attached to people quickly. I know when I have to leave my current family it's going to be hard. The children I nanny, their mother passed away a few months into me being there and I'm the only female in the house besides Marissa, the 8 year old daughter. The children some what looked to me as a mother figure and trust me. Leaving is going to be hard. I keep a nanny log for every job, so everyday before I leave or during the time I'm there, I write in the notebook of everything we did, any new words or foods tried, etc. It's a great thing; for parents to get to read about their children and be informed!
