Sitter in Fort Collins, Colorado

I'm an energetic, experienced nanny looking for some new families to spend time with in Fort Collins. I have experience with children from age 9 years old to 2 month infants. I love being able to return again and again with families in order to create a good bond. One of my favorite things is hearing kiddos recognize me when I come over! I believe it's important that any time spent with children be beneficial for them long term. So if we are spending a Saturday afternoon together, I would like to make sure we are getting some exercise (like a walk or time at a park) or are working on a project (crafts, puzzles, or even drawing time). I understand the importance of letting children work on problems on their own to develop problem solving skills, but also knowing when to step in to offer helpful tools or advice for them. I firmly believe that even an afternoon with a babysitter should still be beneficial time for this child. Additionally, I am committed to the "leave no trace" idea for babysitting. So, for example, after playing with games, we will dedicate some time to clean up. After dinner or snack, I will make sure to put dishes away. Whatever activity we are doing, I'll make sure to leave that area clean and tidy. This is important for children to see and help with clean up time - but also, who doesn't like coming home to a clean house?! Finally, I understand the importance of being fully attentive. Being on a phone or having other distractions is unacceptable while babysitting. This does not offer a beneficial experience for the child. It also can be unsafe. Whether it be at a park or at home, it is important for a babysitter to be completely engaged. I am dedicated to the safety of every child I babysit.
