I'm an
Individual
I am a mature, responsible student who loves kids. I am also very enthusiastic, punctual and reliable. I have 10 years of nanny experience. I love being around younger children, you can always learn something new from them. I respect each and every child as a unique person with feelings, thoughts, and ideas, no matter how old they are. Babysitting was a hobby to me and I enjoyed every minute of it. I started off by babysitting for family members and friends and eventually was being recommended to others. It is a full time job watching over kids. I am able to make sure kids stay safe, but also have fun at the same time! I am able to take kids to school and attend after school activities if scheduled. I also enjoy helping with homework and house chores. It is very calming and relaxing. I love being outdoors and setting up activities. Many times, I stress the traits I possess because they make me the perfect candidate for the job. *Playful: I have an imagination where I can create games, activities, and crafts. I don't want children plopping in front of the TV. I have a playful personality . I genuinely care about fostering a healthy, fun, and active environment for your kids. *Active: Kids are high energy and are constantly on the go. To my best ability I stay energetic and come prepared for however the day or night unfolds. *Responsible: I am someone whom parents can depend on, someone they can trust, and someone who is capable of responsibly caring for their children. *Experience: Babysitting is not as easy as people think. It takes preparation, confidence, and skill. Having babysitting experience has allowed me to gain all kinds of skills. I know how to think on my feet when unplanned circumstances arise, stay coolheaded when a child is upset or injured, and negotiate arguments over toys and games. Having real-life situations where my skills are challenged has allowed me to make the best decisions while I am working. My experiences started young working as a Mother's Helper. *Negotiable: I am someone who can roll with the punches. Being negotiable to me means a number of things-being flexible about schedules, fair about pay rate, easy-going about nights that run later than expected. I understand things happen and plans change for one reason or another. *Being a teacher: Being a part tutor, part mentor, nannies are like teachers in my eyes. I like to engage children, address concerns in a constructive manner, and act as a role model they can look up to or go to when they need anything.. I care about your kids performance in school. I like helping your kids work through their issues with friends, teammates, or even classmates. Like I said I am compassionate when it comes to your kids feelings. *Sensitive: I am sensitive to your kids needs and always will put their needs and wishes before my own. I do what makes the children happy while safety will always be my number one priority. *Trustworthy: Being thrust worthy I believe is one of the most important traits somebody could have. I will follow the rules of your household, keep children safe, and pay attention to them at all times. I do not invite uninvited people to your house nor am on my phone. My full attention is on your kids. It is not a time to socialize. *On Time: I will be on time or a little bit early. If anything happens I will call you to let you know I am running late or give the family a week's notice if I am unable to work on a regularly scheduled night. *Patient: They say patience is a virtue. Just as children need to be reminded to "be patient" and "wait for their turn to use the slide," this helps me to exercise my own patience with the children. This helps me to remind the children to do their chores; then give them time and space to get them done. I will patiently wait and if necessary continue to offer gentle reminders. *Authoritative: If you leave me specific instructions (no TV, brush teeth before bed, eat five bites of vegetables before being excused from the table), I will enforce your rules in a positive and gentle way. *Similar Interests: I have a variety of interests. I like to find something in common with the kids so everyone can enjoy. *Tenacious: No matter what the situation is I do not give up until I get to the bottom of it. This comes handy, for me it's a lifelong skill of mine. I am a strong- willed woman. Ask yourself , "Does my child have a daunting history assignment or need to practice piano for an upcoming recital? "How can you get him/her to do it without nagging him/her? How can you make it fun? That is where I come into play. I will find ways to make assignments fun for your children to do.
