Hi my name is Amy, and I have a plethora of babysitting and nannying experience. While earning my Master's degree in English, I was a nanny for two 6 month old twins. I also did light housekeeping and early childhood activities with the twins, and oftentimes had their preschool age brother when he was sick or came home from school early. Before that, I was also a nanny to another set of toddler twins and their older sister. I am an extremely patient and gentle person, responsible and thorough (see resume for leadership examples). I just graduated with my Master's degree and am taking a year off to apply for PhD programs. In addition to nannying infants and toddlers, I worked at Scholars Tutoring Center, where I would work with elementary school and high school students who had learning disabilities or were high achievers, so I am used to working with all types of kids. I love children and am going to go into education after my PhD. I also watched houses and animals throughout earning my degree, so am completely comfortable with animals. I am a very happy person and get excited about doing arts and crafts with the kids, and because I am on the path to be a teacher, I am very hands on with the kid's after school activities and their learning development. I have also worked in an after-school driver capacity, picking up siblings from their private schools in Sacramento and taking them to extracurriculars or home, so do not mind integrating that into my job duties. Additionally I am available for light housekeeping while nannying, and to accompany families on trips as a nanny. Currently I am available all day every day, as I am aiming to transition out of my current job in insurance that I held while finishing my education.
