Sitter in Colorado Springs, Colorado

I've been working with children for 15 years now. I started babysitting when I was 14, and started nannying about 5 years ago. I've watched children of all ages, ranging from 1 month all the way up to 13 years old. I have experience with multiples and special needs children, and I am CPR and first-aid certified by the Red Cross. I feel that working with children is my calling in life. I love becoming a part of the lives of the children I care for, developing a relationship with them, watching them grow and learn new things. I love to teach them and help them learn, play outside, read, and I especially love to do arts and crafts. For me, this is not just a job that pays the bills - I realize I have a big part in helping to raise the kids I care for, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I feel very lucky that I get to do something I really love for a living. My most recent job was, at the start of the job, caring for 3 year old twins and a 6 month old, all girls. I worked with this family for a year and a half. However, this job ended for the reason many nanny jobs end - the twins started preschool and my help was no longer needed. I was sad to see this job end, but I am looking forward to starting over with a new family. I was born here in Colorado Springs. My family moved to Arizona when I was 5, and we lived there for 16 years before moving back to the Springs. I've been back about 8 years now and love it here. In my spare time I run an Etsy shop where I sell vintage items. I'm currently looking for a part-time job. I strive to treat everyone, children and adults alike, with kindness and respect, and ideally I would like to find a family who shares these values.
