Sitter in Ottawa, Ontario

I'm a Registered Early Childhood Educator looking for some summer work as a nanny or an ongoing position as a babysitter. I have been caring for children since I was a teenager, and over the years have amassed a considerable amount of experience. As part of my education, I had three field placements in local daycare centres covering an age range from 18 months to 8 years. I spent three years working in-home with two different families, and currently work as a supply for the City of Ottawa daycare centres. I have lots of experience with twins and triplets. I enjoy taking children on outings (museums, library, beaches, bus rides, swimming, parks, window shopping, or just a walk around the neighbourhood), and heartily believe in having adequate time outdoors year 'round even if just for a short period of time. I'm a big believer in child led and play-based learning, that reading is as necessary as breathing, and in answering questions as they come. I love to love children, and can't wait to find my next co-adventurer!
