Hello families! My name is Emma, I am 21 years old from Kingston Ontario, taking the year off from school (Dalhousie) to work! I am available immediately. I have an extensive background in childcare including being an au pair in Sydney Australia with a wonderful family with two toddler boys. I have been babysitting for many years for multiple different families, including; being a nanny, working at youth summer camps teaching sailing, volunteering at youth events within the community, and lastly I often take care of my nieces and nephews. Additionally, I was involved with the school to community classroom for all four years of high school assisting students with a variety of special needs. I have developed skills in conflict resolution, activity planning, and pride myself on my ability to build positive relationships with the children I work with. I realize the importance of safety in the workplace, especially one which deals with children. When kids are in my care I make it my first responsibility to make sure that they are safe. With that being said, if the proper precautions are taken, fun for the kids and myself will be sure to follow. I am an outgoing, enthusiastic, energetic, easily approachable, punctual, responsible, and inclusive individual. I play many sports along with coaching volleyball and teaching sailing to youth during the summer.I believe that exercise, healthy eating and time outdoors is crucial in a child's development and wellness and i am sure to always include time for them in our busy days! Additionally, I have my current CPR and first aid along with my bronze medallion swimming level. I also have dogs of my own and love all animals!
