I am Jalen Martinez. I am currently a senior in high school and I have my own vehicle. I have often been described as bubbly, energetic and great with children. I have volunteered with children in settings such as Holy Family Catholic Church and the National Children's Center for Illustrated Literature. To work with children in holy family I had to attend a training session required by the dioceses. I have experience in caring for children ages 1 to 12. I also have experience with babies as young as 6 months old. I also completed a child development course. The class allowed me to understand the importance of engaging children in activities that encourage development. The class also taught me important childcare skills. I was required to provide 24 hour care for 3 days to a robotic baby simulation. My school day ends at 2:50 p.m. and so I will be available for after school care.
