Summary: Greetings. My name is Lyn and after a lengthy career as a forensic DNA scientist and database manager, I have decided on a new path with my life and would like to open my availability to help care for children. I am almost 50 years old and have two children of my own, a boy 11 and a girl 9. I adore children and have a nice, clean house, and have a very flexible schedule. I am willing to come to you or open my home for overnight or late night care if needed. I'm a single mom but I definitely have myself together. My children are excelling, they're both on the A/B honor roll, my son is a chorus star, my daughter is in the gifted program at school, is awesome in gymnastics and they're both red belts in karate. They get compliments on their behavior and personalities everywhere they go. They’re happy, compassionate, and beautiful kids, inside and out. I have worked with police agencies and have testified as an expert witness for the entirety of my career which has helped me become a great communicator and given me the ability to function under pressure. I'm educated, positive, happy, funny, spiritual, fair, caring, giving, trustworthy, mellow, and honest. I'd like to specifically offer my services to those who work evenings and nights but I am available anytime, I know how hard and scary it is to find care for those late hours. I'm a night owl anyway and would be honored to care for your babies and provide you peace of mind so you can focus on doing your best at your job or enjoying your date night out, whatever the case may be. Your babies would be in great hands and I'd love them as my own. You'd grow to feel you were leaving them with family. I've lived in the area for over 20 years off and on and can provide references upon request. I have a very clean and smoke-free home but do have a medium sized dog and cats. I’ve owned many types of pets over the years and love them all so I could also help with those as well. I'd love to discuss your needs to see if I can be of service. My rates are negotiable but start at around $10 per hour for one child for short hourly care, for longer stays, overnight, more than one child, traveling, or a consistent schedule, rates are negotiable.
