Sitter in Victoria, British Columbia

Hello! I’m Laura, I hope you are having a good day. I'm looking for a mother's helper/babysitter position in Victoria. I moved here from Ireland last month, on a two year working holiday. I did a working holiday in 2016/17 in Australia where I was a live-in nanny for two children aged 2 and 4 for 6 months. I loved my time doing this and although I have secured a full-time job in the hospitality industry I would really like to continue baby-sitting on a part-time or casual basis. I have Police checks from Australia and the UK, as well as medical clearance to work with children in Canada. I would be more than willing to acquire further certifications if you would like. I am also more than willing to help with any pets you may have too (you can also find me on Rover.....). Description of Skills: I have experience bringing children on public transport, day trips, snack prep, nappy-changing and personal care, toddlers groups, teaching and children's crafting. I would describe my caring style as patient and open. I treat children as individuals and think this works well. I love to encourage their passions and interests. While I have caring experience with a 2 and 4 year old, I’m open to working with kids of any age. I have indirect experience working with children of all ages and abilities as I worked in a children’s entertainment centre for the past 4 years back in Ireland.
