Hi! My name is Ellie Johnson, 30 years old, and grew up in Wilmette. I feel I would be a great match as any family’s ideal babysitter. I’ve babysat children for about 17 years now and worked in the Wilmette School District as a Special Ed aide for 5 years. I’ve worked with children with a wide range of disabilities such as learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism, psychosis, etc. When I worked for the school I would babysit daily after school for a family. The last family I babysat for was 3 girls that age range was from infant to 5 years old. I would do art projects, cook, play outside, prepare the kids meals, bathe, change diapers, do laundry, do light cleaning, and anything the mom requested. My goal as a babysitter is to make the parents feel as comfortable as possible that I’m caring for their child (ran). After your long day of work the last thing I want you to worry about is cleaning and having to pick up after your child. I want the parents to come home knowing their child was in good hands and house is left in a respectful manner. I always care for children as if they were my own. Playing a role in a child’s growth and development is extremely important to me. I do have my own car so transportation isn’t an issue depending on where you live. My hourly rate is between $18-$22 per hour based on my age (30 years old) and experience. I’m also willing to commit to a year babysitting for your family. I’m currently enrolled to attend Esthetics school starting August 25th, night classes 6-10pm. I’m seeking job that would work with my upcoming schedule. I live in Ukrainian Village in the city but will be taking my courses in Evanston. Please let me know I you have any more questions.
