Description: Hi, there my name is Narda. We are a family living in North Shore suburb of Chicago with two-year-old girl and infant girl is seeking a professional and experienced full-time nanny. Two weekends per month is also needed for a few hours on the weekend. Nanny will receive at least four days off every two weeks. Family will ensure nanny has schedule approximately one month in advance, but flexibility is required with schedule as last minute trips and events occasionally arise. Nanny may be required to travel within the USA on rare occasion. All expenses will be paid. Applicants need to be honest, trustworthy,respectful and understand the importance of maintaining discretion. Family is open to local candidates and domestic relocations, as long as nanny has connection to Chicago/Illinois and will enjoy living in the location long term/permanently. Start date is flexible for the right candidate. RESPONSIBILITIES: Experienced with play-based learning and creating educational activities (e.g., planned engaging activities at home, developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts, themed weeks, scheduled outings, etc.) Knowledgeable about child development (e.g., firm when necessary and capable of teaching children manners and etiquette, but also capable of being laid back and fun) Support teaching and reinforcement of manners and other social skills Provide developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts at home and schedule/plan fun outings and events Experienced with meal planning and preparing fresh and healthy meals for children that introduces them to new foods Willing to transport children to scheduled activities, play dates, outings,library, swim class etc. Domestic duties relating to children (e.g., washing dishes after meals, assistance with children's laundry, tidying playroom and bedrooms, etc.) Organizational projects relating to children (e.g changing clothing seasonally, rotating books and toys quarterly or bi-annually, etc.) Light housekeeping of the general house. Assisting with light errands for the house. Packing and unpacking children for trips. QUALIFICATIONS: Capable of building good rapport with children Passionate about child development and education Experienced working with similar aged children (toddlers, preschool, school aged, etc.) Experienced working with at least two children in a nanny position Ability to travel domestically whenever necessary Highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, excellent time management, efficient and service focused Observant to the needs of family and home to anticipate their needs (e.g., planning engaging activities at home, creating pack lists for upcoming travel, Ability to maintain discretion (confidentiality agreement is required) Ability to be discreet with respect for employers privacy Professional presentation of self and great personality Ability to easily take direction Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with parentts Positive attitude and ability to handle position with ease and calm demeanor Excellent communication skills Flexible schedule Professional Active Engaging Creative Energetic Positive Nurturing Proactive, resourceful and take initiative to get things done Ability to multi-task Active and fit REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of full-time consistent and recent nanny experience (many years with minimal families is required) 2 references from professional positions Seeking longevity (e.g., 2-4 year commitment) Live a close proximity to family's residence in Morton Grove Ability to complete extensive background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug tests Driver's license and clean driving record CPR certification Vaccinations (e.g., TDap, MMR, Flu shot)
