Hello! My name is Grace Althardt and I am rising junior at Murray State University studying Healthcare Administration. My experience with caring for children began with the birth of my nephew, Sam. At the age of 9 years old, I knew that I was meant to take care of children. From then on I started babysitting him until the age of 16 when I got my first car and was able to take on more jobs. I have worked with children as young as 6 months all the way up to the age of 10 and older. . I have handled almost any situation that could come to mind and I have been trusted with bath time and bedtime routines. My most recent work has been with a family with three boys ages 8, 7, and 3, one of them having Asperger's Syndrome. I also spent the summer of 2017 working at a summer camp leading a group of 5-6-year-olds, and being an age group leader for the 9-12 year old age group. The summer camp offered all of the counselors CPR, AED and First Aid training and I am certified through next summer. I come from a long line of teachers and have been a peer mentor during my years at college. My goal as a care taker is to create an inclusive environment where children are encouraged to grow, be themselves, and have fun throughout our time together. Currently, I am a sophomore studying Healthcare Administration at Murray State University. I am originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, but this summer I will be living in the Richmond area and would love the opportunity to chat with you! As mentioned, my nephew, Sam, is now 10-years-old and so I am very familiar with the middle school age group! I will be able to provide reliable, safe transportation for the children. I have a big personality and an even bigger heart. I am able to provide a thorough resume and references as needed!
