My name is Erika. I moved to Cottage Grove recently from Alaska. There I worked for the Office of Children's services for two years before I had my own children, boys, nearly 7 and 3 1/2. I homeschool my oldest son, and love to do learning/creative activities with children of all ages. I enjoy baking, and include the kids in the kitchen fun as much as I can (whatever messes may arise are always worth it- they learn about cleaning up too!). I am very friendly to breastfeeding, l love baby wearing, I can handle cloth diapers, and have a sold awareness and ability to properly deal with food allergies and sensitivities ( my family in AK has a bakery that specializes in allergy friendly baked goods, GF, Vegan, Veg, no diary, raw... whatever the case may be). That being said, we bake a lot of chocolate chip cookies around here... I am a certified Massage Therapist, and a Certified Yoga instructor. I taught children's yoga classes as well as adult classes before I moved from Alaska. I am happy to find some playmates for my kiddos while giving your children a safe and friendly atmosphere to hang out in while you go out on a date, run errands, read a book, or even just drink a cup of coffee in peace... I have a small dog (bichon frise); a non-shedding hypoallergenic breed. We have a fenced back yard, for soccer practice and nature exploration - we are within walking distance of Harrison Elementary, and frequent the playground after school hours. Although I'm not looking for a full-time childcare position, I look forward to providing care for your children that you can be confident in. Children have access to a drum kit, guitars (acoustic and electric), and (maybe too many) crafting and 'inventing' materials... we go through a lot of glue...
