Sitter in Nokomis, Florida

My name is Lauren Blackwell. I am a resident in Nokomis, FL. My goal is to have the children I am watching to remain safe at all times, and be eager for me to come 'play' or 'hangout' with them, as well as look forward to the next time. To the parents leaving me with their children- I promise to keep them safe at all costs, and to keep them smiling. If you leave me responsible for your children, you will not regret it, you will be relieved that you have found someone as trustworthy, caring, and selfless like me to spend time with them. I have been babysitting since I was roughly 10 years old. I started with my family friend who had 4 children whom at the time ranged from newborn- 8 years old. I was mature, reliable, and trustworthy at a very young age, and babysat their family until I moved to Florida, and even then, when I went back for the summer I cared for them. Most recently, I have babysat the ages 4, 7, 10, and 12. I have a passion for children of all ages. I had provided child care services to one family for 8 years- I had the opportunity to play a large role in the life of their youngest, watching him from the second day he was born, to now the age of 10. Babysitting was my main job until about one year ago- I now work at Hollister Co. part time and am a full time student at State College of Florida. I have spent the past 10 months getting settled in Florida, and have been missing the joy that children bring to me. I have always loved children and am planning to major in Early childhood education. I have a great sense of humor, am personable, and always put others before myself. Creating relationships with children of all ages comes naturally. I provide a friend, as well as someone who they can trust with anything- including their lives. I always have the best interest of the child in mind and go to whatever extent it may be to ensure their safety, while also providing them with happiness. I remember the days my parents would leave me with a babysitter, and the difference it made when they were caring with a good personality. I would feel honored to be responsible for your children, and promise you would not regret choosing me. I understand the impact of a care giver on both the children and parents- I want to make life easier for parents leaving their children, through the reassurance that your children are in amazing, experienced hands.
