Personal Profile: Hello, my name is Vanessa Dominguez and I'm an aspiring Early Childhood Educator a.k.a an aspiring Preschool Teacher. I took a Child Development Course which required 18 hours of volunteering in a toddler care room, located at the Reedley College Child Development Center. This course required me to care, observe, and implement lesson activities with toddlers and I even had opportunities to observe and interact with the preschoolers in the lab school as well. I decided to take a break from academics this summer and realized it would be a perfect time to gain experience for my career. Some of my professional goals this summer include: - Assisting younger children (i.e. toddlers and preschoolers) development on the skills necessary for their overall development and education. - Encouraging and supporting children's play. - Facilitate the highest levels of learning by providing practical activities and opportunities such as gardening and simple cooking (small snacks). - MUCH more :) I can take care of transport to and from general care overnight care, and extracurriculars.
