Sitter in Ottawa, Ontario

NOTE: I am currently employed with a family for the summer, but will be looking for employment again in the fall. I'm from Port Elgin, a small town right on Lake Huron. As a teenager I was a frequent babysitter for several families in the area and also worked for a summer as a full time for a three-year-old and her baby brother. I've always loved working with children. In November I graduated from the Carleton journalism program with a degree in journalism. I'm currently working as a freelance writer and part-time as a sales associate at a toy store. I'm looking for full or part-time employment to supplement the work I already do. I plan to eventually return to school and obtain a diploma in art or music therapy. I love books and as a nanny I'm eager to encourage a love of reading and storytelling in any child. I also love painting, drawing, making crafts, and music. I play guitar and piano and sing. I have my Grade 9 Royal Conservatory vocal certificate and I'd be more than happy to include basic singing lessons as a part of my nannying services. I previously taught voice lessons to children between the ages of 6 and 10. I look forward to hearing from you!
