An average day spent with Kelly and Ashley consists of supervised free play and daily structured activity time. An opportunity for crafts with different textures and mediums will be given to the child within the realm of their abilities. Crayons, paint, markers, and pencils are on hand and used with supervision to encourage creativity. Numbers and letters are taught with fun and games concept. Games, Stories, and Song are utilized every day. Videos, appropriate for children are show on Fridays for Movie Day. Television viewing is kept to a minimum, and when it is used, it is limited to selected public television programming and age appropriate programs. My selection of toys consists of blocks, puzzles, games, many manipulative play sets for all age groups, dolls, dress up, trucks, trains, cars, dinosaurs, musical toys, and we even use an ipad with educational games for all ages. I encourage outdoor play as we will go in the backyard I have swings slides and a teeter tawter, or just hang out and blow bubbles, use a hoola hoop, jump rope or even sidewalk chalk, as I feel it is so important for children to get fresh air and to get exercise to enhance creativity and mobility skills. We are both CPR and First aid Certified, and are both moms of 3 children. We have been doing childcare for 13 years.
