Overview: I have been babysitting for over 15 years and love children of all ages! I have babysat for children ranging from 5 days old to 12 years of age. I have babysat for up to 4 children at once. While babysitting I will drive (do not have personal car), cook and also watch any pets since I am a pet lover. I have worked the past five years as an EMT and Emergency Room Technician. I have also had one semester as a Physician Assistant student at Rush University. I am certified in adult, child and infant CPR, AED and Basic Life Support training. Allison has babysat for my two girls throughout the past two years. She is medically knowledgeable as a former EMT and Physician Assistant student but also fun, caring and compassionate towards others. I have seen how Allison interacts with my children and gives them the individualized attention they need. My oldest toddler can be shy but loves to read. Allison took the time to sit down with her and patiently read several books and by the end of their first encounter Emma was crying because she didn’t want Allison to leave. My infant loved Allison’s fun and often silly personality. I have seen Allison be responsible and stern when she needs to be but also isn’t afraid to let loose and allow kids to have fun. In addition to babysitting, Allison has taken both of my children on excursions to the zoo and swimming. Being a former EMT, I know that she is an excellent defensive driver and never questioned the safety of my girls with her. I HIGHLY recommend Allison for any position.
