Happy Holidays! I am seeking a new position for the holiday break and for after school care. I am available from the 23rd of December through the 15th of January full time days or evening and including some weekends. I am also available after 2 p.m. during a regular school schedule. I am available to start early morning during break until 10 p.m. I am a 43 year old Behavior Tech who works full time with PVUSD. I have worked in this industry for 11 years. My focus is ABA driven but not certified. I work with children who have special needs ranging from autism, behavior modification and health issues. I am not necessarily looking for a special needs child but just a part time position to help supplement my income as I am a single mother of a teenage daughter and could use the extra money to help make ends meet. I enjoy many activities and try to bring that into my nanny time. I love to cook and enjoy very much teaching kids new fun recipes. It offers kids not just a fun activity but also learning. I also enjoy the outdoors, weather permitting. Things like afternoons at the beach and local parks. Santa Cruz has so many beautiful attractions and our youth should explore and learn the greatness of all it has to offer. On not so wonderful weather days, I enjoy movies and art projects. My past career was in the medical field. I am a certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. I have been CPR certified, first aid certified, CPI certified and will be TCI certified in January. I have references both from my position that is ending on the 13th as well as from others both within and out of the district if needed. In addition, to work for this district I had to pass a background clearance and for the prior district I had to pass a FBI clearance which was done just shy of a year ago. In addition to basic care of your child I am also willing to do some additional duties. I am willing to do light housekeeping maintenance type stuff. Things like dishes or laundry, helping clean up such as, light housework including: sweeping and dusting, helping clean your child's room and some organizing if needed. I am also willing to help with homework and other practices as needed. I also offer transportation to school activities, sports, doctors appointments and scheduled play dates. I am willing to do some household errands. All of these additional services are negotiable. Of course anything done during my regular course of work would be included for example, if I prepare lunch of course cleaning up the mess of making the sandwich etc. will be included in my normal pay. And now for the not so pleasant part, my expectations from you are: open and honest communication in regard to your child and needs, if long term care is needed two weeks notice of termination or pay in lieu of, all medical information in regard to care and prompt payment. My minimum rate of pay is $15.00 per hour and mileage if any errands or transportation is needed during the course of duties in the amount of $0.35 per mile. I expect pay at the end of each work week on the last day of care for that week; meaning I work M-F, payment is due on Friday at the end of the work shift. If an exception is needed ample notice must be given in the amount of no leas than two weeks. I do understand now and again you or I may become ill and this will not be considered a breach of our agreement but as much notice as can be given is appreciated.
