Personal Profile: Hello! My name is Alexa. I just moved from South Carolina to live in the DC area permanently. I am looking for a care provider job in Washington, District of Columbia. I am committed to being a passionate, flexible individual. I can be available as needed. I am in the process of obtaining a degree online from University of MD University College. My major is Psychology and I plan to specialize in Applied Behavioral Analysis in young children and children with special needs when I graduate college. Services And Training: While I was in high school, I completed a Safe Sitter course which certified me as a babysitter. In addition, I am in the process of getting my CPR and First aid certification for pediatrics. I have had multiple previous babysitting jobs over the years. One of them was every day after the children finished school. I was responsible for helping them with homework and preparing snacks for them. Many of the other jobs were part time on weekends. The most recent job I have had is caring for a three month old baby boy. While he napped, I was responsible for laundry, dishes, vacuuming and a variety of other responsibilities.I am definitely comfortable doing date night supervising and meal preparation. I also am comfortable working with sick children. In addition, I have worked with a seven month old baby girl as well as her sister who is three. I have a strong work ethic and I have developed responsibility and maturity mainly through my many job opportunities. I have experience with children of all ages. I have three younger siblings. I have taken care of my youngest sister since she was a newborn so I do know how to handle children at such a young age. I have a lot of experience cleaning up and cooking for my siblings while my parents were working. My position as the eldest child in my family has made me very responsible and able when I am faced with household tasks and childcare responsibilities. Arts and crafts are enjoyable for me as well! I love painting and coloring! I, also, enjoy reading, teaching children to read, and sports. Swimming is a favorite of mine! I am comfortable providing swimming supervision or lessons. I absolutely love animals! I have had dogs, turtles, and many fish throughout my life! I love to spend time with children. I absolutely adore their innocent outlooks on life and I love to help them learn and develop as they grow up. I am very interested in this opportunity to work with and get to know both you and your little angels! I will reliably be able to make it to and from the job with my own transportation on time and ready to care for your children. Generally, I charge between $14-$20 for hourly payment.
