Sitter in Inglewood, California

I am a retired Parole Agent, married with a 16 year old daughter, a 28 year old step-son and 4 grandchildren. I have always wanted to start my own daycare once I retired, however I just have not made that jump as of yet. I adore children and I still feel the need to assist and help them. I am involved in my daughters school and outside of school activities, dropping off and picking up. I also am involved in my Church as well. I am looking to work part time as a Nanny or Sitter to assist with picking up from school, light homework and preparing snacks as needed. I worked for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations (Juvenile Division) for 25 years, guiding and assisting youthful offenders into becoming law abiding citizens. I have always enjoyed working with children, it has been a passion of mine for most of my life. One of my very first jobs as a teenager was working full time in a daycare center as a summer job and I knew I had a passion to work, teach and assist our young children. I also worked at a recreation center working in sports activities for older children, this was a summer job as a teen for me as well. As I continued in school and in the work force, I ventured into other jobs as a receptionist, legal secretary, data entry operator etc. until I applied to work with troubled youth for the California Department of Corrections & Rehabiltations Juvenile Division, where I worked for 25 years. My first 2 years I worked as a Group Supervisor, while I continued my education. I graduated from Cal State Dominguez Hills University with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Public Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice (1992). I then promoted at my job to the position of Youth Counselor, stayed in that position for 8 years, then I promoted to an Institution Parole Agent. The Institution closed in 2004 and that's when I was placed in a Field Parole Agent position until I retired in 2012. I was born and raised in San Diego California, I relocated to Inglewood California due to the move of the company I was working for, Allstate Insurance in 1985 and have been here since that move.
