Hi, my name is Kayla Rush. I am a mommy of two. I have my early childhood certificate, AA degree, and a specialization in English and Science. I decided to open a daycare, I have always wanted to be a teacher but don't want my child in the strict daycare setting so decided to open one on my own to where I know that my child will be learning- yours will be too. Before I decided to jump into running an in home daycare I was a foster mom of two. I was going to have a daycare at the same time but the situation wasn't ideal to bring other children into the mix- it wouldn't have been safe for all children there. With that being said, I am very good with troubled behavior, we use a strict method of timeout (I will never lay my hand on someone else's child!) However, I do my absolute best at redirecting, childhood should be fun not sitting in a corner! I will work on numbers letters, cognitive development, gross/fine motors, and anything that your child needs! (A two year old needs different treatment than a four year old) Your child will mostly be learning through play however, we will have craft time, story time, and other things- for example, right now we're learning about lady bugs so we have a lady bug farm! I can't always promise lunch will be perfectly healthy but I can promise you they will get all the nutrients that they need. I will be hiring another person as qualified as I am in August- I am 6 months pregnant and want to provide liable service- I'm not planning on taking a maternity leave for more than one week but will still be having someone here helping so finding alternative care won't be necessary. Joining your child will be my one year old son and a few other children.
