I’m 47 I have a 23 year old son who is in college at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar MO and plans to go to seminary next year! He was diagnosed with Aspergers in 4th grade. I always treated him normally and now you would never know he had been diagnosed. He has several close friends, he’s an intern at his church, and he’s well known in his community. By the grace of God, I believe he allowed me to raise him up well rounded with a amazing gift to love the Lord with all his heart as David did. I’ve worked with a lot of children and they always have instant bond with me. When at my house they immediately pick out a room because they are going to live there from now on. I absolutely adore this behavior because they feel so comfortable with me from the instant they meet me and know they are loved. I’ve worked with numerous special needs children and several adults too. I’ve also worked with a lot of seniors and they remind me of my grandparents, which means they have my heart instantly as well!
