Sitter Job in Westerville, Ohio

Hello! We are interested in finding part time ( w potential occasional full time) child care for our three sons. Currently ( starting mostly in late September) we will be looking for light support, with some hours after school here and there, as needed (maybe once a week). We definitely desire support most Saturdays. (Hours however can be flexible). We would like someone with availability to help during some hours within upcoming school breaks throughput the school year. (And short spans as needed over summer when our children aren’t engaged in camp). We are seeking a person (or two) who can potentially make a long term commitment, maybe someone looking to pick up additional hours, with another job. Light meal prep is a requirement and we also look for someone willing to help out with light tidying up, mainly holding kids responsible for their messes! Our family is artistic, liberal and welcoming to all. The perfect applicant would be energetic, well-adjusted and honest. Those attached to their phone, please skip us. We’re searching for a special person willing to engage with our boys in creative and educational endeavors, who also has decent behavior management experience w kids. (Everything is a work in progress) We’ve got 3 boys. They’re wonderful and fun, but like all children, require positive discipline. You would be working mostly in our home, with trips to the park or pool, etc. in summer. Clean driving record is a plus. One or both of us would be present at home most of the time but engaged in work or other tasks. (usually on a different floor) If you need us, we’re usually available to help, but we’re not there to “watch” you work. Our priority is in fostering a long lasting comfortable and happy environment for all. Please be yourself. Pay is negotiable depending on experience with children, background, references, etc. Training will be required as our son w/a moderate disability is on a Medicaid waiver and requires a “respite provider” trained and paid through the state. Becoming a state waiver provider is a WONDERFUL opportunity most people don’t know of. It can open many doors for future employment opportunities (on your terms). However you must be 18.
