Sitter Job in Kailua Kona, Hawaii

My family and I are here on vacation for the week. We are a family of 5, and have an autistic son who used to love the beach, but he has decided he is downright miserable at the beach for this trip. It honestly is hard to reach out for this help, because we try to do everything together as a family and can usually help him through these transitions. But he is downright miserable at the places we are going, and making it impossible for our other kids to enjoy the beauty Hawaii has to offer. We honestly fully believe he will be happier if he can be with a sitter doing the quiter resetting activities he enjoys like watching birds and lizards, reading stories, playing board games and the like. If any cats come by for some pets, that would just make his day. We have a comfortable basement apartment where we are staying with a kitchen, a back lawn, garden and patio. He is a very affectionate and smart kid. His autism is presenting itself in the form of continual verbal arguments and some extreme screaming, so someone with the ability to deflect, have a sense of humor and recognize when he might need some alone time to reset would be very helpful. But, as mentioned he is a sweet and affectionate kid and if we can allow him to be in a less sensory rich place like the beach that is triggering to him, I think he’ll be a little shy at first but quick to warm up and have a fun time. Please reach out if you can provide baby sitting services from about 9am to 7pm anytime this week. We are hoping to do three more beach days during this time and any days we can get help are greatly appreciated.
