The Anglican Parish of Central Saanich is seeking leaders to mentor campers in an exciting, week-long day-camp through worship, crafts, games, and stories. The camp will run from July 13th to 17th at St. Stephen's church, a property home to one of the two congregations of Central Saanich. The program is home-made and will focus on building face-to-face connections with young people in this region. It is designed to facilitate and strengthen the growing relationship between the Parish of Central Saanich and the wider community, as well as to meet the needs of parents who require day-time care for their children. Job Description Camp Counsellor Compensation: $550 Number of Positions Available: 4 Dates for Training: July 6th-9th All day Dates for Working: July 12th 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm July 13th through 17th 8:30 am to 4:00 pm This position is basically the hands and feet of the summer camp program. Responsibilities include: • Acting as a role model for campers • Leading and caring for a team of 8-12 campers throughout the week • Leading worship through music, skits, and reading • Directing or helping others direct camp activities (e.g., field games, crafts, drama/stories, or nature walks) • Participating in all events/activities relating to one's team of campers
