Sitter in Charlottesville, Virginia

I am a recent high school graduate and current PVCC student (online). I live in Crozet, Virginia, White Hall to be exact. I live on my grandfather's farm in a cute little 1900's farm house with my boyfriend and we recently just got a 6wk black lab and I'm looking to get out of the house before she chews up every pair of shoes I own (light joke). I graduated high school about a year early because I always knew I wanted to take advantage of this beautiful world as soon as I could! I started helping families care for their children when I was around 14 and I knew it was something I'd want to do for a good portion of my life. The benefits are more than just "some babysitter" and I really take what I do seriously. My view on sitters and nannies are that they should be a "second mom" (not in a creepy way) but they should bring positive ideas to the family but also treat them and care for them just as mom or dad would if they were home! I am a very respectable person and extremely compassionate and loving! One other plus side to me is that I don't own a smart phone, no social media accounts, and I haven't watched televisions in over a year! It's a plus side because I've found other ways to spend my time and other ways to do my job. Lots of sitters are constantly on their phone or putting kids in front of the television to make their job easier which I completely disagree with. I want to teach kids that there is a world outside of the world on the computer or internet!
