Qualified caregivers play an important role in promoting social, physical, emotional and cognitive development of young children. !It is extremely important to look for indicators of quality care in three major areas when you visit a child care program: Caregiver/Child Relationships, Daily Child Care Program and Physical Environment. MY Philosophy I will strive to provide a safe, comfortable, stimulating, fun, educational environment in my home with a semi- structured day plan. A child learns best by actively participating in his/ her world through a variety of experiences that enhances decision making, mastery of skills and the discovery of his/ her unique self. I strive to encourage the growth of independence, sense of responsibility and respect for other at a level appropriate to the child’s development. A safe, secure, flexible and stimulating environment accompanied by warm, sensitive and supportive carer provides an opportunity for the child to explore the world around him. I believe that children have a right to a safe and secure environment which fosters social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. Children are unique individuals that develop at their own pace through exploration and discovery of their own environment. I would strive to provide security, love, affection, and strong relationship to thrive and develop to their full potential.
