Little Footsteps Child Care Centre is a licensed Preschool, Daycare, and Before/After-school Centre. We are looking for early childhood educators to join our team to support and enhance our new and existing programs. We follow a theme-based learning curriculum in a play-based environment. Job Details: A variety of Part-time and Full-time positions are available, including Daycare Manager, After-school Care Manager, and support team members. • Monday to Friday, shifts varying between 7:00am – 6:00pm • Starting last week of August 2014. • Salary will be dependent on experience and education. Qualifications/Requirements: • Enthusiastic about teaching and learning. • Ability to work with a team. • Willing to try and learn new things. • Valid B.C. E.C.E. Certificate (support team workers excluded from this requirement) • Medical Clearance* and immunization record. *Statement from a medical practitioner indicating adequate physical and psychological capability to work with children and carry out assigned duties • A clear criminal record check, issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date. • Three professional references • Willing to support the Statement of Faith of First Avenue Christian Assembly church Key Responsibilities • Assist with the creative planning and implementing of developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children 3-5 years old. • Providing quality care by guiding, encouraging and supervising children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring children’s safety and well-being at all times. • To establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families. • Assist in housekeeping duties to ensure facilities and equipment are neat, safe and clean/sanitized. • To ensure that the program meets, implements and maintains both the health and safety requirements of the Community Care Facilities Licensing Act Email your cover letter and complete resume to: [email protected] .
