Hello! I am the owner of Little Lights Bright Minds Christian Home Daycare and Preschool (www.....com), a *state-registered* family child care home! I have immediate openings for my program and would love the opportunity to speak with you as you plan your child's future! I am a former private school teacher with over 15 years of experience working in such capacities as a nanny, preschool assistant teacher, nursery primary care provider, Sunday school teacher, high school summer science instructor and music teacher for grades K-8. I have my state child-abuse, criminal, and FBI clearances, and am certified in infant and child CPR and first aid. My caregiving style can best be described as warm, loving, cautious (toward safety), and organized. I follow a daily schedule and offer two homemade, nutritious meals and snacks per day (our menu is comprised of organic and natural foods!!). Our home is very organized, with five main areas designated and prepared for the children: a classroom, baby and toddler room, nap room, playroom, and enclosed outdoor play area. In each room/area there are safe areas and age-appropriate materials for all of the children in our care. The classroom materials and layout are more geared toward preschoolers, while the baby and toddler room materials and layout are geared towards the younger ages; however there are special areas and activities suited to all age groups in both of these rooms. We rotate throughout the rooms in the house as a group. I offer a customized, structured preschool program with daily lesson plans, incorporating Bible stories, math, science, social studies, foreign language, phonics and much more! Our program consists of a combination of traditional, Montessori, and Christian (loving and non-denominational) approaches. Infants and young toddlers receive loving care that respects their routines and includes them in our activities in an age-appropriate way. Each area has a safe place to secure baby, such as an infant swing, bouncy seat, exersaucer, or playpen (all used according to the baby's age), or a child-safe space to crawl and walk. I also believe in the value of holding an infant close and do so throughout the day, employing the use of an Ergo baby carrier when needed. Having raised four children myself, and worked in numerous infant care settings, it has become second nature for me to very cautiously supervise babies (and all children, really). This means I am particularly attentive to any potential dangers in the environment, and am overly cautious that nothing is around them that could present a choking or suffocation hazard. I am very careful to watch the interactions between all children, but particularly between older and younger children. I truly understand the fierce protective instinct we mothers have for our children, and especially when they are so small and vulnerable. To that end, I have a strong desire to support parents and address any concerns they may have for their little ones throughout the duration of child care. My current rates are $150/week for full-time care, $120/four day week, and $100/ three or less days per week. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided for free for children ages 1 who are ready for and eating table foods. My hours are 7:00a.m.-5:30p.m, however I will happily consider requests for different or extended hours, depending on your childcare needs.
