Sitter Job in Fort St. John, British Columbia

Looking to hire a full time live-in caregiver (commencing September 1, 2014) to look after our two children (ages 3 and 5) in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Hours of work are from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday in our home (we live in the Bert Ambrose school area). The successful candidate will possess a minimum of: • Secondary school or equivalent. (Post-secondary education is an asset) • Minimum of 1 years experience as a full-time caregiver. Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of the parents. Supervise and care for the children (and one small dog), organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, instruct children in personal hygiene and prepare and serve nutritious meals, discipline the children according to the methods requested by the parents, walk children to school. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, laundry and assist with family meal preparation. The successful applicant will reside in our private household for the duration of employment with private accommodation being provided for $325 per month (room and board deducted from bi-weekly paycheque).
