I am a 57 year-old woman looking for part time babysitting jobs. I work full time in the technology industry and I have a college degree. I am a mother and grandmother and I miss them so much! I worked as a computer programmer for many years prior to my youngest child making an appearance later in my life. He had some medical issues that caused me to have to take off of work for about 8-10 years and technology went by me while I couldn't work. Therefore, when I was able to go back to work I had to almost start at the bottom again while I catch up on computer languages and new technology. I now work full time at a telecom company in technical support. I have always loved kids (any age) and animals and since mine don't live close, I know taking care of kids and/or pets is the answer to both of my needs, one being extra money and the other is being around kids! I am in great health and I love to get on the floor and play with kids or sit at a table and help the older ones if they need and/or want it. I love being silly with them, making them laugh, teaching them, and just talking with them. I am available most all mornings, and I'm off work all day on Sundays and Mondays. My hours at work change a little bit once in awhile, but usually are 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm Tuesday through Friday and 11:00 am - 8:00 pm on Saturdays. I will be available when I am not at work, barring any unforeseen circumstances. I am getting ready to be first aid and CPR certified again. I have been certified every year until about 10 years ago. I do not have a set price as I believe it depends on what I will be doing. We can discuss price and anything extra you would like for me to do (meals, errands, etc.) when we talk. I would say roughly $10.00 per hour for one child, $15.00 per hour for two and go from there. I am very reasonable about what I charge as I don't think it's fair to charge a big amount if the kids are only sleeping, for example. I will also work overnights, and I would prefer to work at your home. I am not set up for little ones, and you already are! I am experienced with children with asthma, giving breathing treatments, and giving medication in general. I have no problem watching and taking care of sick children. I can get kids ready for and take them to school, but with my work hours it might be difficult for me to pick them up from school, it just depends on the day/time. Just remember my work hours and I am available around those. It can be a one-time thing, or routine. I can do emergency sitting too, depending on day/time again, but it will probably be a little more. I was a working parent too and how I wished I had someone I could call at the last minute! I know your fears, anxiety, and prayers that my kids were happy when I wasn't with them so very well! I know how hard it is being a parent - especially with young children.
