Sitter in Colonial Heights, Virginia

My name is Harleigh Stephenson, and I am 20 years old. I have nine nieces and nephews, and I am one of five children. At the age of 11, a family friend dropped her two week old daughter off with me, and never came back. I dropped out of school, got an under the table job, and provided for her until she was about 10 months old. Her aunt finally located her, and picked up. My uncle, who is a marine, adopted me shortly after that in order to provide a more stable living environment. I babysit my nieces and nephews while they were trying to get me re-enrolled into school. The oldest was 4 at the time, and she is autistic, has seizures and was recently diagnosed with LCH. I also watched my brothers two sons, a newborn and a one year old along with her. Learning how to handle an autistic child, and two other infants was a challenge, but it was a joy as well. At 15 they finally enrolled me back into school after fighting with the school board, and I stopped babysitting/nanny-ing to focus on my schooling. I managed to complete four years of high school in three years, and my GPA was close to a 4.0. After school I tried to find another job, however, I believe that kids are my passion. I am looking to nanny full-time for a wonderful family, and I am available 24/7 and I can be on-call during weekends as well if needed.
