I'm a newly single mom of 3 great children, was a stay at home mom for 16 1/2 years. Oldest is a lifeguard training to go in The Marine Corp, plus 4 ACTIVE years in the Color Guard in high school, receiving 5 National awards along with many other accolades in the program, Next child is a ACTIVE band member as well as a member of the ROTC program in high school, this was his 1st yr and received 2 national awards along with 10 other accolades in this program, self taught musician with lots of passion, next child just started middle school so I'm sure it will be a busy year for her. They all have been raised with a Routine that will also teach them to carry it through life, very well mannered children. I believe in starting good behavior and routines, and personal hygiene as young as possible, adding in lots of fun in between that helps keep them interested in things you want to teach them. Lots of different things you can do. I taught mine their ABCs and counting in 2 languages as early as possible, they learn easy when young. I've also done caregiving for Bedridden with dementia, 2nd and 3rd degree burn patient, a broken clavicle/shoulder and arm patient, plus a patient with COPD that had 2 broken hips within 6 months of coming to me, thus was in my home while I was a stay at home mom. 3/4 were family but they had noone to help them, so it was a great learning experience too for me... I love helping others.
